One dollar and twelve cents, thank you very much. And no, I’m not smoking.

Remember the Walgreens sale I told you about a couple of weeks ago?  Well it started today and I was there bright and early to make sure I got what I needed.  We’ve had a real problem lately with a couple of people clearing the shelves with the improper use of coupons, but that will be another post.

So.  This morning I dragged my sorry self out of bed, pulled on a clean t-shirt and yoga pants, beat my electrified-hedgehog-hair into submission and headed out to Walgreens on Broadway.

Nice little haul.

Nice little haul.

My first purchase was Azo Cranberry Urinary Tract Health caps, on sale for $10.  I paid with a $10 Register Reward.  The Azo printed off another $10 Register Reward.

Second purchase was Culturelle  Probiotic chewables, on sale for $10.  I used my $10 RR from the Azo to pay for this.  Culturelle printed out a $10 RR.

My 3rd purchase was…

2 Lysol Wipes, on sale 2/$4.  I used one $2/2 coupon from the Walgreens Cold and Flu booklet (usually out on the shelves near the pharmacy) and I used a coupon I got in the mail from Walgreens giving me 1000 points on the purchase of any Lysol product.  1000 points equals one dollar.  So I ended up getting them for one dollar each after points.

One box of Hefty Clean Burst trash bags, 38 count on sale for $5.99.   I used one $1.25/1 coupon and a $1/1 Hefty coupon from Walgreens February coupon book making the box $3.74.  About 9 cents a bag!  I love that price, especially since it’s money spent on something you have to throw away!

Two boxes of Orville Redenbacher popcorn, on sale 2/$3

One pack of gum, for the non-smoking thing, .79.

My total was $11.12 after coupons and store sales.  I paid with my $10 RR from the Culturelle and was left with $1.12 out of pocket.  For all of that stuff!  Woo-hoo!

I'll take it :)

I’ll take it 🙂
