Sweet deals at Target!

Halloween is my favorite holiday…second really only to my birthday, which I celebrate for the entire month of March.  (March 12.  I like chocolate cake and silver jewelry…get busy)  Halloween brings out the kid in me and the girls and I start decorating the house and the yard on October 1.  We shop at yard sales all summer for the coolest decorations and hoard them like gold until that magic turn of the calendar page. While my big girl doesn’t want to trick or treat with us anymore…Mad and I still love going together.  We’re making her costume, Mei from her favorite movie, My Neighbor Totoro!  How cool and original is that?  No Frozen princess for my girl.

And the candy…I, as a parent, look forward to this all year.  Bagfuls o’ loot just laying around.  Mmm…candy.  BUT.  I don’t like shopping much for something that I’m going to be giving a way.  It pains me.  And to top if off we live in a neighborhood where there’s quite a few Halloween visitors, so buying at least several bags of candy is necessary.  What’s a girl to do?  Well this week, she heads to Target. Starting on 10/12, you can buy Twizzlers Caramel Apple 10.29 oz Snack size bags on sale for $2.29.  Buy 2 and use…

Then buy two bags of Reese’s Pumpkins Snack Size Candy 10.2-10.7 oz oz on sale for $2.50.  Use…

Lots of clearance everywhere in the store as well.  I found some really cute pieces of kid’s clothing for a couple of bucks.

And some not so good deals…

Maybe I’ll pass on this one. Dang, those must be some good green beans!

So far that’s my only candy run.  I don’t want it in the house any longer than it has to be because I will eat it. it will go stale, right?  I know that Toys R Us has Halloween candy as well…maybe I’ll see what kind of deals we can scare up there next week!
