Saturday night’s alright..for shopping, that is.

Another awesome day to shop in Bangor!  The weather was a dream and got to go shopping and saving with my two best gals.  With only a couple of exceptions, everything I needed was on sale.  It’s like when you hit every light in town and they’re green…everything just seems to….flow.

We started the afternoon out at Walgreens, where I used 10 $1/1 Wet n’ Wild coupons on 10 99 cent make up items, making them all free.

In a house full of girls, these will be used.

After Mark came home from work, Mad & I went to (insert heavenly harp music here) Target..big Hal had had enough couponing for one day.  Two transactions were played out here.  Here’s what I bought..

1 Market Pantry (Target’s store brand) package of chocolate chip cookies $1.89

1 Market Pantry Lunch meat (turkey) $2.50.  Used 1 $1/1 TQ and 5% Cartwheel making it $1.42.

1 Market Pantry Lunch meat (ham) $2.50.  Used 1 $1/1 TQ and 5% Cartwheel making it $1.42.

1 Pillsbury cake mix $1.18

3 Stouffer’s frozen family size meals.  On clearance for $5.94, I used 3 $1/1 MQ’s (sent from the manufacturer) making them $4.49 each..schwing!!

3 Vitaminwaters at .80 each.

2 International Delight coffee creamers at $1.89.  Used 2 MQ’s (birthday rewards from the company) for $1/1 making them .89 each.

6 Market Pantry pasta at .78 each.  Used 2 $1/3 TQ’s and .24 off with Cartwheel making the total $2.44 for all 6.

6 Market Pantry pasta sauces at $1.14.  Used 2 $1.50/3 TQ’s and .32 off with Cartwheel making the total $3.52 for all 6.

4 Market Pantry apple juice at $2.24 each.  Used 2 $1/2 TQ’s and .36 off with Cartwheel making the total $6.24 for all 6.  

9 double packs (20 pouches) of Capri Sun juice pouches at $3.99 each.  Received a $5 gift card for each set of 3.  Total of $35.91 for all 9 double boxes, minus $15 in gift cards = $20.91, or about .11 each for 180 pouches!

One My Little Pony Fashum (This was the price for taking Mad with me) $3.99.

I also used Target’s $10/$50 grocery coupon (text “grocery” to 827438)

Total after tax, coupons, gift cards and Cartwheel was about $52.  It seemed low to me, but Target’s receipts read like hieroglyphics when you use a lot of coupons and so I checked with Customer Service and she said it was correct.  I’m not going to argue with them.

Mad and I ran that load out to the car and went back in for round 2!  Oh yes, there was a round 2.  Target had a deal that ended today that gave you a $5 gift card when you spent $20 on Easter candy and/or basket of $20 or more.  With two kids, this was an easy one.  I let Mad pick out her sister’s candy while I picked out hers.  The total was $23.95.  After $5 gift card, and two $1.50/2 coupons, my total was $15.95.  Now I have to leave it all alone until Easter.  Missing from the pic is a box of cookies Mad and I ate on the way home.
